USA: Bridges TV Founder Murders Wife

Any positive effect Bridges TV may have had on relations between Muslims and non-Muslims has been damaged by the founder’s brutal murder of his wife.
Not surprisingly, the television station’s web site is now unavailable. The victim, Aasiya Zubair, was the station general manager.

I’ve read a couple of stories about this and a few are not even similar, I find this story so shocking and i don’t want to believe it
But I’ve also heard so many muslims who do dawah (It happened to a relative of mine) being beheaded by non-muslims/islamophobics etc…
But Allahu A3lam Maybe Muzzamil did do it or even did not
I read in another website that ”weapon has not yet been discovered” and other websites have said she was killed in an office and another i think said somewhere else….
All i can say if he did do it then a really evil shytaan met him…

I have never seen or or even heard of the TV channel, but I understand the noble premise and of course the terrible irony of the murder.
If Hassan had stabbed or shot his wife, or even run her over, I doubt many people would have looked too deeply into it. But the fact that he beheaded his wife (a horrific crime in the West – despite it being an official punishment once) because she wanted to leave him, is only going to reinforce the negative image of Islam.
Made worse of course by the fact that this man was meant to be a moderate, Westernised Muslim.
It is easy for Qazi to say it isn’t about religion, but most people will just see ‘Muslim Man,’ ‘Beheading,’ and ‘Wife,’ and think Honour Killing. Even though a third of women murdered in US are done in by their husband/partner, the beheading aspect appears to make this a completely different crime.
